Hi, sorry I took so long to get back to you, I had forgotten which forum I had posted the message too! :)
I bought an Interplak oral irrigator made by Conair at K-Mart for $20.00. It had all of the same attachments as the more expensive Waterpik right beside it, and the same two year warranty--just not as fancy looking so I bought the cheaper one. It is VERY easy to use, not hard at all. The first night I put one ounce of 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide to 11 or so of RO water in it and stirred it. I used it after I had flossed my teeth with dental tape (I read it in that book it was more effective than dental floss and easier on the gums--not so many cuts) and brushed them with my Sonic brush. My gums were still awash with foam! I was amazed, I had tried to be very thorough, taking more than five minutes each on the flossing and brushing, but the peroxide still foamed a lot! I have brushed my teeth with regular drug store hydrogen peroxide (it foamed a lot too, but that was before I ever flossed) and a horrible aftertaste stayed for hours, no food or drink would make it go away if I would get it on my taste buds. So I was happy that the food grade hydrogen peroxide taste was easily rinsed away. Especially since I did not want to eat anything after such a thorough cleaning. :) Oh, I tried coconut oil in baking soda--tasted awful. So I think I am going to use just coconut oil by itself! :) I just cannot stomach the baking soda taste, makes me gag. Best wishes to you on your tooth journey! lol :) Caitlin Lorraine
