Dear Andreas,
As a follow-up to the thread here where I learned that cholesterol deposits above the eyes are symptomatic of irritated kidneys, I am wanting to do a kidney cleanse. The kidney cleanse as described in your book The Amazing Liver Cleanse is the one that I want to do, but I have no idea what some of those ingredients are, and have to collect all of them via several trips to the health food store and via online ordering.
I noticed that even though celery seed tea and watermelon seed tea are highly recommended by several people, including Edgar Cayce, that you don't have either one in your kidney cleanse. Do you think that they're ok to use? The reason I ask is because I started drinking celery seed tea 2 days ago - making it by grinding the celery seed, brewing it in hot water - a very mild tea, no extra ingredients. I've had 5 cups in 3 days, and this morning, my kidneys hurt, for the first time ever. So my questions are - what are the properties of celery seed doing for me, and what do you think would cause the pain, and is that pain necessarily a bad thing, or could it be a good sign?

This is a reply to # 659,836i never get dizzy, but after a dizzy episode at work (many hours after i drank celery seed) i stopped drinking it for some days. today, i tried another glass, and many hours later at work i became dizzy again. i don't know why this happens, and if it's good or bad. the only thing that is similar to the two instances, is that i drank coffee at work both times. but before i began the celery seed, i have drank coffee at work many times with no dizziness at all each time. i assume it was the celery seed.

I was looking up celery seed and found out that:
"Witches supposedly ate celery seeds before flying off on their brooms so that they wouldn't become dizzy and fall."
HAHAHAHA!!!!
It is also a preferred blood pressure treatment because its allopathic counterparts cause dizziness and celery supposedly avoids this. Maybe it is work that is making you dizzy - it certainly has that effect on me even without celery seed.

MoreThis is a reply to # 659,854that was really funny. but it's just the opposite with me! maybe cause i bless people instead of casting spells. anyhow, i really never get dizzy! it's gotta be the celery seed. i never get dizzy any other time, than the time i drink it. plus, my pupils sort of dilate.

This is a reply to # 659,836Actually, in my book I have left the address and telephone number of a herbal store in Minneapolis that do mail orders for the kidney herbs. They sell them all the time to readers of my books, so all the herbs are as fresh as they can be, tel. 612-824-3157.
With regard to Edgar Cayce, a few years ago he spoke with me about improving the kidney cleanse recipe and, although he felt it was pretty effective, it missed out on some ingredients. So he made me add three ingredients to the list, one of which is comfrey. Some herbalists believe comfrey could have some harmful effects on the liver, and I was of that opinion also, but since I included it, the cleanse has proved to be much more effective than before. When I asked him about including any other kidney herbs, he said this would be sufficient.
The bitter substance of celery seed can be very strong. It consists of powerful plant antibodies that may cleanse too fast and causes toxins to enter the blood. So you may experience unpleasant side-effects.

This is a reply to # 659,859Ah - so it's probably powerful cleansing...thank you so much, AGAIN, Andreas! The pain is more like a small ache, and it only lasts a short time, so I think I'm going to continue this, for a while longer.
And thank you for the tip about the herbal store with the kidney cleanse ingredients! I can't wait to order them now...I never thought I would actually be excited about cleansing my organs, but there you go - I love it! I never saw the product listing pages of your book, because I bought The Amazing Liver Cleanse as an ebook from 1stbooks.com, and although I have the entire book downloaded to my hard drive, to save on the printing time and to save paper, I omitted printing the chapter listings, and the product pages at the back... *laugh*
I have to go back and print them now to see what else I missed! Thanks again.
