>- Would zapping be a good "weapon" against c. albicans overgrowth?
As a long time sufferer of candida, I will say that it is not an end all but can be of significant help. I did not get very much relief until I started using the CCa, copper paddles, and copper footpads. Within a few weeks, I had knocked about 90 to 95 percent of my candida out. It is extremely critical however to replace and build up your intestinal inhabitants during this period. This should be done right after every zapping session has completed.
Probably the best form of bacterial supplementation is kefir, if you can stand it. It is like a really sour buttermilk to me. It does have the best combination of bacteria and some beneficial yeast.
My next choice is either a "Active Culture Smoothie" or a good "unsweetened active culture yogurt". The smoothies have about 6 very good bacteria and your yogurt should have at least 4. Acidophillus is just not enough in my experience.
If you have problems with milk but soy is not a problem, then try a "Silk Smoothie". It comes in several flavors and has 6 different bacteria.
You can take probiotic supplements but these are in a suspended animation state and take a couple of hours to activate. This gives candida a head start. Again, I do not recommend taking just acidophillus.
A one or 2 days Water Fast
will also weaken candida and an Epsom Salts
flush after a full zapping session can get rid of a lot of junk from your intestines. This can help in getting the "good bacteria" re-established.
I do give several warnings about Epsom Salts
though. At the most, it should only be done every few months as you can become dependent on it as well as any other laxative. Also, do not use excessive amounts. Follow the instructions carefully. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing. The best warning that I can give is that the stuff taste absolutely horrible. It is extremely bitter to say the least. I usually chase it with 1 ounce of fresh squeezed lemon, no Sugar
I eliminated over 90 to 95 percent of my candida last Feb-Mar and now only zap once every 2 months or so unless I feel symptoms of cold or flu, in which case I zap immediately.
