I have been making the recipe in bulk in the morning to save time and I realized today I've been dilluting the recipe - using 10 oz per 2 T of lemon/maple instead of 8! Should I worry that this could be adversely impacting my results? I am on day 7.
Also, the bit of pulp that gets into the juice is okay isn't it?

This is a reply to # 624,552Hi Simone, I did that all the time (varied the recipe) but if yiu want to go by "the book," it says that you can adjust the amount of maple syrup, but should always keep the lemon juice the same (2 tbsp per 8 oz.) I have to say that I don't think I made that exact concentration after the first day, LOL.

MoreThis is a reply to # 624,554Yep, I know what you mean about dilution. Towards the end I was really getting sloppy - I always made sure I had plenty of lemon juice, but i would guesstimate with the maple syrup and cayenne powder - sometimes it was super sour or way too spicy. The original recipe is actually the best, IMO. Or maybe I'm just remembering it fondly because I wasn't yet sick of it when I made it with the right ingredients. :)

This is a reply to # 624,557I bought a gallon jug made by Rubbermaid, and was filling it up to 100 oz and then adding the rest of the ingredients - now I know it should have been 80 oz (made the bulk recipe from memory and just saw it was supposed to be 8 oz water per glass not 10!)
So now, it's easy for me in the morning to make
80 oz H2O
1 1/4 c maple syrup
1 1/4 c lemon juice
1 t cayenne
and it tastes great.

This is a reply to # 624,558I just realized that all this time I've been using 10-12 ounces water in every lemonade! (I'm on Day 8) I have no idea where I got those numbers from, but I just leafed back through the book and it says to combine the ingredients in a 10 ounce cup, and that's all I can really find. It should have been made more clear. I wonder if this could have effected my results at all...?
