I was severerly constipated for a while and couldnt eat much. I came across this recipe for a nutritious beverage to help keep me going. It may help you to get the nutritive value of the cabbage, but in a tastier fashion.
half a head of cabbage
2 sweet apples
1 and 1/2 teaspoons of caraway seeds
chop the cabbage; peel, chop and core apples. place all ingredients in a pot, cover with water. bring to the boil then simmer for around half an hour. strain and drink.
its not the most amazing tasting stuff, but it is pretty good and you can have it hot or cold. it doesnt keep too well - the longer you keep it the nastier is smells!
