I bought "Body Ecology" a few years ago. I found it very informative and helpful (as I have many books), but the diet did not work for me. (I react even to alternative grains, rice, certainly vinegar, yogurt.)
I've sort of found "my own way" by trial and error. I am on a very restricted diet most of the time (just so I can function and feel reasonably good). A few docs have said I've been one of the worst cases of food intolerances and/or Candida that they've ever had walk through their doors, so maybe Donna Gates diet will work for you.
However, I do believe we have such individual needs and chemistries that no diet should be "one size fits all" approach.
