Hello, this is my first post here, but I couldn't pass up your message. I went through my last pregnancy with severe adrenal fatigue. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. I won't lie, it can be terrifying. But there are things you can do.
My ND went ahead and prescribed a formula with ginseng and licorice because she felt my adrenal problems were more likely to cause problems for the baby than the herbs would. She also prescribed something called Seraphos (phosphorilated serine) which kept me relatively sane and sleeping okay during the worste of it. They helped immensely. I also took extra vitamin C and pantothenic acid besides what was in my prenatal. She told me to eat protein every two hours, and that probably helped more than anything. It kept my blood Sugar
The other thing I did was homeopathy and Bach flower essences. Without those, I would not have been able to cope. They helped immensely. Depending on your financial situation, you might also try other forms of energetic medicine such as acupuncture or one of the many energetic chiropractic techniques like NMT or NET.
My baby was healthy for awhile, but at around 5 months his immunity took a nosedive. We've been battling recurrent infections ever since. Right now he's being treated with NMT, so we're hopeful his immunity will be strengthened. It's been a major struggle since he was conceived, but I would never take it back. He's the most beautiful and loving little baby, and the struggle to keep him healthy has been worth it.
Just remember that if the going gets rough and you don't know if you can take it, the baby will make it all worthwhile in the end. And even if it's not perfectly healthy, s/he will be happy to have the gift of life.
