Great spot nspeth. I found this out a couple of weeks ago myself. We all know that citrous fruits contain
citric acid , but what about the
citric acid in processed food? It would be far to expensive to get it from citrous fruits. Instead manufacturers make it artificially from yeast - not just any yeast mind you - but a strain of candida!!
This is why the traditional anti-candida diet allows us to eat lemons (which are full of
citric acid ) but not processed food which contains citric acid.
However I'm of two minds. The citric acid itself should be identical (I would have thought) whether it comes from candida or fruit. So why aren't we allowed to have it? The only thing I can think of is that the citric acid being derived from candida, may itself harbour candida. Does anyone else have any views on this?
Soglar Megasorb B complex is labeled as yeast-free, sugar-free, etc. and is a high potency B-complex. It doesn't give me any problems.
