Hi,
My liver function tests in Oct had these readings :
ALT : 110
AST : 70
In December :
ALT : 70
AST : 55
All the others, like bilirubin, protein etc were within normal range.
Will be doing another round of tests in March and I believe they should be within the normal range.
You described the exact same experiences that I had my flushes #1 to #6. Don't give up. You'll have to follow-up with the Psyllium &
Bentonite after each flush, so the bile does not re-circulate. The days after my earliest flushes , without the PBs were absolute torture. The area around my eyes and mouth would sometimes turn green & I had left shoulder pain and nausea too. I've since done better with #7 to #9. Hope to start on Chinese herbs soon but I find eating Granny Smiths, at least once a day helps with the stones too. BTW, my stones have always been quite soft. They are getting smaller and smaller now.
I have been told by my doctor that I have fatty liver (which can only be confirmed with a biopsy : this procedure, I've read can be dangerous in the wrong hands.) The time frame for this to be done would be a continued high reading for ALTs & ASTs (not within the normal range) for 6 months. I hope that my March reading will come down. Actually, after the
Liver Flushes I am very confident they will be normal now. I will not go for the biopsy even if my doctor wants the procedure done to confirm fatty liver. My ultrasound shows no gallstones(not uncommon from what I've read here).
I can't tolerate alcohol too , I drank a glass during Christmas and it made me very sick.
I rarely drink alcohol (perhaps once or twice a year & only 1 or 2 glasses of vodkalime or kahlua(bailey's).
My fatty liver is the result of a high sugar/fat intake over the years, I think.
