Hello and welcome to this forum!
A qualified "yes" to answer your question. :)
the recipes stated here have not been updated to include all of the various things you can do/take to shrink those nasty stones before you flush. Since your gb may be inflamed (I say may be because the way doctors talk can be misleading) it behooves you to be careful.
Before doing the flush, you need to prepare your gallblader and indeed, your entire body for the flush. We rarely rarely rarely have people experience great pain due to a flush, and it's always because of poor preparation.
First thing you want to do is start bowel cleansing by supplementing your diet with plenty of good fiber. Don't take Metamucil - take something from a health food store or make your own. instructions are here on this site.
Switch to a low-protein, low-fat diet, no junk food, no coffee, black tea or sodas, NO iced drinks, no refined
Sugar products.
Take a tablespoon of good quality olive oil in the morning and evening. This will lubricate the gb and bile ducts so they are more flexible. Flexible organs are strong and pliable, inflexible, rigid organs mean pain and stuck stones.
Drink organic apple juice, as much as you can handle. You can also take Malic Acid supplements, and Gold Coin Grass from www.sensiblehealth.com. This will dissolve those pesky stones and crush them down to size.
Do all of this for at least 2-4 weeks before your first flush, then go for it, secure in the knowledge that it will be successful and pain free, or at least that you've done everything possible to ensure that it will be so! :)
