FinallyFaith said "i personally don't think you should be fasting. you should be eating small, sensible, healthy, meals throughout the day."
I agree with her on that.
A frequent question I am asked is whether frequent or even daily enemas are harmful on a long term basis. My answer in general is that for most people, no, but it is the inconvenience that most who rely on enemas for bowel movements find most problematic.
The traveling situation you are facing is one that I have experienced in the past. Some years ago I went to Europe with a group of friends for several weeks and we were constantly on the go. We shared small European hotel rooms with tiny bathrooms, or had to go down the hall to a common bathroom.
I can usually get by with a weekly enema if I have to, and can usually go most days in between, mostly with less than a full movement, but on this trip the situation was very stressful.
All my friends knew my situation and were sympathetic and helpful, but arriving many nights at a hotel late at night, and leaving early the next morning on a tour bus, just didn't leave me with the time or space I needed.
So I can completely emphasize with your situation with your California trip. My advice is to confide in the people you will be going or staying with and ask for their support and understanding. If they are true friends, they will be give you the time and privacy you need.
The reality is that no matter how hard we try, or what programs we follow, there are still a large number of people with weak peristalic bowel function who have to depend on enemas for regularity. I believe that in many cases this is a result of our genes, and that in these situations the enema habit is far preferable to the constipation habit.
Wishing you the best of natural health,
