Honey is special. Its not a strong laxitive, and it seems to need a few days, but there are other properties besdies the mild laxitive effect
If your problem is quite bothersome, then go ahead and don't hold back on it - take two spoons in a cup of tea of coffee and three on your cereal..Get it in you early in the morning and late at night, beyond good taste. Better yet - eat an apple with honey on the side, the apple will be a big C [constipation] help.
Then there is replacing other
Sugar with either honey, or Maple Syrup, or molasses or lastly brown sugar. Stop the 'most refined' of the sugars, none of the white stuff. This can/will help bloating go away too, depending on other factors.
Other than honey, there is FLAX SEED - take it whole, or better yet grind it up in a coffee grinder - about a tablespoon a day - and it will be working within two days.
Fibre, of course. Metamucil, etc. , and in your foods.I can't tolerate much - just a small teaspoon, half usually, is all I take/need. It can make you uncomfortable.
A meal of BEETS. For sure. Mmmmm, with butter and salt.
