There would've been no crush, and no dreams of this kind, if your relationship with your boyfriend is all you would like it to be.
Be honest with yourself, even more importantly with your boyfriend. Find a nice and sensitive way to tell him what you'd like to have in your relationship.
Make sure you DO NOT blame him, or try to attack him. Test the conversation in your mind, and measure every word you'd tell him, to make sure your cry for help doesn't come out as a scream of vengeance, which is often does.
ps. I remember a comedian who said how he had a dinner with his mom, and he wanted to ask her for some salt, but instead what came out was "You bitch you ruined my life!!!" :-) - you want to avoid that.
pps. There is also a strong possibility that you don't really love but only need to fall in love (after which you'd get bored quickly). You relationship with your father could point out if you only expect to fall in love, but not really love. Your dream then would just be an extension of your illusion that love equals infatuation.
ppps. Maybe even most likely option is that both of the above are true: find a boyfriend who's not open and sincere 100%, but somewhat reserved, so that relationship leaves you wanting more... This means you should really start looking deeper into yourself.
