in the dream:

i suddenly discovered my home had an extra unused bedroom. i immediately told my SO that i would be moving into it. he didn't seem surprised, a little perplexed, though.

i move my bed into the room. SO enters, flops on the bed, and asks why i moved out. before answering, i look up and suddenly realize that there is access to an entire other floor! i look up and can see all my daughter's belongings and extra furniture stored up there. the space is filled with toys for my daughter.

when i express my excitement and scrample up there, SO hangs his head and says "oh, no" because it is obvious that he knew about the space, was keeping it from me, and even was the one to put all that stuff up in there.

the rest of the dream is one of excitement going through all my long lost belongings and watching my daughter play with the new toys.


in the dream i was neither concerned with the separation from my SO (Significant Other) or w/ the fact that there was no door on my new bedroom, only 3 walls, and no actual staircase to get to the upper floor. i just sort of floated up. at one point upstairs i did reach into an otherwise empty armoire and pull out a book. my vision became blurry and i couldn't read the words. this didn't seem to bother me either.

it was mainly about the excitement to realizing i had more "up there" than i had previously assumed.

this dream is related to another i had a couple of nights ago about a particular house that i have dreamed about for 20 years now.
