The real mad cow epidemic has already happened long ago and is escalating as we speak. Millions of people in this country and other industrialized nations are developing heart disease, cancer, arhthritis, diabetis, depression, strokes, mental problems, etc. by eating highly contaminated beef. Most cows ready for slaughtering at age 18 months are deadly sick and filled with drugs. Many of them die on the way to the slaughter house. Hardly any of them even have the time to develop the symptoms of Mad Cows Disease even if they have it simply because they are killed so young. But Mad Cow Disease is not closely as dangerous a threat as what meat-eating does. See my earlier posts on vegetarian diet on this or the previous page. The best protection is to not eat dead foods.
However, I would not be concerned about the capsule issue. This is not the way how Mad Cows Disease is being transmitted.
