There is an Ayurvedic practice called Uttara Vasti, which is a douching practice that brings the menstrual cycle in line with the lunar cycle and heals the "womb" or the female reproductive system. Menstruation is intended to be with the new moon and ovulation with the full moon. I have just started this practice myself and it seems very powerful. It is detailed in Bri. Maya Tiwari's book "Ayurveda: Secrets of Healing".

I do think that liver flushing and colon cleansing help to regulate the cycle as well.

Please see Janaki's response. In additon, the colon, liver and kidneys are involved in keeping the menstrual cycle in line with the menstrual cycle. Any sluggishness or congestion i nthese organs deranges the cycles.
