Hi there,
How many root canals do you have? Why do you want to have them removed? I'm curious just in general what is going on with your health. Do you known the tooth numbers? Let me know and I'll look at my chart for you to see to which parts of the body they correspond.
To have a root canal removed you must have the entire tooth pulled and then the dentist cleans up the bone around where the tooth was. They do this to remove any infection that might have stayed in there, to remove any old bone material that got weak and to stimulate new bone growth in that area.
I went to Tijuana Mexico but the person who helped people go to that clinic no longer does it. If you have any interest in going there you can let me know and I'll give you details. It is *much* cheaper to have it done there than in the US and Dr. Morales was very good. Again, let me know if that's an option and I'll give you more detail.
Another good way to find a dentist is to do this:
Go to
http://www.wilsonssyndrome.com, click on "patient area" click on "find a doctor"
Find doctors in your area then call them and ask them if they recommend any dentists that are alternative or do biodentistry.
Depending where you're located they should have a list of at least five or six.
Now, do NOT just pick teh one closest to you. Call each of the dentists and ask them if they replace amalgam and how they do it. There are special procedures they should follow (give you an alternate air source while the do it, use a drill that runs cool water over the tooth as they drill (to keep down mercury temperature therefore vapors) Oh, also ask them if do root canals. I was surprised that many on the lists that I received still did root canals. I wanted someone who was 100% on board as far as not putting ANYTHING in your mouth that was harmful.
Do your homework. Read "Its all in your Head" by Hal Huggins, "Whole Body Dentistry" Author??? and I really recommend "The Roots of Disease" by Levy and Kulacz. Don't be shy about calling and asking questions. I've called Kulacz's office (author of above book) and asked questions. They were great about giving answers.
I'm very glad I had mine done. It didn't magically heal every issue of mine, but really helped my healing process.
Let me know if you have questions!
Good luck,
KarenMarie
