The trick with colemas is to get the first release of water go as far up into the beginning part of the colon as possible. This can be a little uncomfortable. If it is not taking out major amounts waste, given the colon is congested, the water goes only into the rektum or a little further, not enough the dig up old fecal matter. Massaging the colon as water comes in is important for breaking up old structures and releasing them. It may tkae a little practice to get it right.
