I am new to this forum and just read your message about the seratonin and colon cleanse. Could you please tell me more about this relation? I am having a problem with SEVERE INSOMNIA and liver pains after I did in November a diet called GERSON THERAPY which used coffee enemas (just the name of these people gives me the creeps now). Anyway it has been 5 months of agony barely sleeping. My seratonin levels came out 61 when lowest is 175. And had read in the internet that 90% of seratonin is generated in the walls of the colon. Gone to doctors, but they are so useless, only giving me sleeping pills and now 5-HTP.

But you are the first person that I heard bring up the colon and seratonin relationship. Do you know more about this? I have been taking aloe vera for constipation and some liver detox programs with no much improvement. Is Colon Cleanse any different? Isn't aloe vera is most Colon Cleanse formulas too?
