I've been eating 2 psyllium shakes for 4 days to work on my constipation. Last night at dinner I eat close to 8 cloves of garlic (about 20 slices). About an hour later I got severe cramping in my stomach. I had a sore spot about 2
inches above my navel and an
inch to the left. I went to the bathroom and there was some stringy and hard stuff mixed in with the loose poop. It looked like some mucoid plaque with lots of little white strings on it. About an hour later I had to go again...again severe cramps. This time there were round white ovals floating on the water...they were not fluffy but lots of woven fibers all wound together in an oval shape...they looked like lots of
Celery strands all woven together (but I haven't had any celery). They were about 1/2 the size of my thumb...about 5 of them, not fluffy just flat. Kinda looked like the hardshell of a beetle or waterbug...just no legs. White colored, dry, not mucusy and not fluffy like cotton. My husband said it was just the fiber from eating an orange earlier...which could be, there were lots of little "jelly"like segments floating that looked like unpoped orange droplets. But if that was the case, why wasn't it digested properly? Its not like I eat the orange segments whole, I chewed them. I asked him, after you eat oranges do you poop out the fiber like that? He said no but still wasn't convinced its parasites. By the way, the sore spot has moved to just about my left hip bone, on the outter side of my body.
I'm having an barium enema next week and then an appointment with a GI in February (took 6 months to get an appointment, they are now scheduling for August) My husband wants me to wait until these are done before "exploring" alternative methods. The x-rays came back normal, so did the stool tests. Even though there were "sesame seed" like things in them.
Thanks for reading and for the advice.
