nice to meet you, bugsy :)
Well, from what my experience is-- At first I thought they looked like black or darkbrown lima beans in my stools. They resemble leaches. Whenever I see them in my stools, they are already dead and are motionless.
I mentioned it to my father -- and he laughed and said I was being paranoid, and that I probably didnt thoroughly chew the kidney beans in some chili I ate.
Of course, I'm still passing these flukes with the colon cleanses, and this is over a month now. I only had one small bowl of chili!-- lol.
There is a website someone posted a link on that shows their photographs- I'll track that link down for you and post it.
Liver fluke is very easy to get if you havnt thoroughly washed vegetables or fruits from your garden. If you live in an area with slugs or snails in your garden, then you can get liver, sheep, or whatever type fluke.
Slugs and snails carry the microscopic larvea that is passed to them from deer, cows, horses, or any mammal.
The slugs and snails crawl around your vegetable garden, and even if they are no longer on the vegetables when you pick them, they still have left a slug or snail trail residue there.
That isnt always washed off if you just spray your lettuce, etc., a few quick times with water and think that it's clean enough to eat.
The larvea that the snails and slugs have is invisible to the naked eye, but grows in your body to a visible fluke.
They rob your body of nutrients. If you take vitamins, probably most of the vitamins are being sucked up by these varmints. They also suck your internal blood also. That accounts for why many are black colored. The blood they sucked turns black in thier grubby lil' bodies.
You will from time to time feel some fluttering or movement in your liver (the right side of your body)-- that is probably a liver fluke.
We've had a rainy season this past Summer, and so even those who dont live in marshy areas could have picked up liver fluke this past Summer.
It is soo important to thoroughly wash all fruits and vegetables. I read that you can soak them in one part vinegar and one part water for 30 minutes, then rinse with water to even remove pesticides.
It is also important to not walk around the grass barefoot or in flip flops (like I did all this Summer :-{ because the liver fluke larvea can enter your skin that way if you walk in wet grass where snails or slugs were.
