I have suffered from kidney issues for years. I end up hospitalized due to them at least once a year.
I am currently on the Colonix program and this morning I looked at the nutritional information. The Colonix Intestinal Cleanse only has 8 grams of fiber at the full daily dose.
Americans are recommended to eat between 25-35 G of fiber a day, if not more. Therefore, I think that perhaps if someone is not properly hydrating themselves, then they are destined for a kidney infection and I'll be hard pressed to argue that a diet/cleanse that is low in fiber has risks to the kidneys that out weigh the benefits of the cleanse.
So I will keep on doing Colonix. I will keep on drinking my 100+
oz of water a day because I know my body and I that's what I need and I will continue to add as much fiber to my diet as I think necessary.
