...You say you've become used to laxatives...
I've heard that Exlax is...well...not good.
I've also heard that laxatives cause spasms in the bowels. That's how they work, I am told. I know that I always had terrible cramps when taking senna as a child.
Recently, I took a formulation of magnesium oxide, in water, with lemon juice. The results were amazing. Apparently this works by oxygen 'scrubbing' (melting) the accumulation, and not by causing spasms. I don't think you can 'hurt' yourself with this method.
However, one needs experience to avoid rushing to the bathroom, especially during the first few weeks. Also, you may get gas twinges that make you sit up and take notice, again, in the first few weeks.
I've heard that enemas can be addictive. So, I suggest you use them gingerly.
Please consider taking only a small amount of the oxygen-type cleanser at a time, making certain that there is some kind of Vit C with it or in the formula. (Mine did not work until I added lemon juice to the water. My dosage was 3/4 tsp of powder, juice of 1/2 a lemon, in water...on an empty stomach, one hour before eating.)
If you 'get the feel of it' on a weekend, and don't take any more until, say, Monday night, or Monday one hour before supper, then you'll have a few hours overnight, before class.
This stuff works fast, but you may react at irregular intervals in the first few weeks. Better to go very slowly, or even avoid taking it entirely on weekdays, until you know your own reaction. Even then, your reactions will change as your body 'normalizes'.
I do think you could make good use of the occasional enema, perhaps during the first week. But I urge you to take only small amounts of the powder at first, and to stop taking it for a day or two or more, if necessary.
Have you begun already?
Please tell us your experiences, and how much you took, etc. We all need to know about this form of cleansing. It is superior to every other way, I believe.
All my best,
