Wheatgrass has a strongly purifying effect, to a certain extent. This is due to the high concentration of antibodies, which are part of the plant's immune system. When ingested, the body perceives these as antigens and begins to discard them, and along with that waste and impurities. If overused, though, it can backfire and weaken the immune system. Everything good taken in moderation is the key. Even poison can be used as medicine. Just listen to the body when it has had enough.
