Stridar, I would like to formally present you with this challenge....Warning: I'm about to put you into a major bind that you simply cannot get out of.
But first, just in case you've forgotten, let’s go over a couple quick definitions. According to Neo-darwinists, only populations are able to evolve and adapt to their environment. It says changes/mutations will appear at random and build up over time. Natural selection, supposedly, looks at each change and decides to drop or keep it.
Also keep this in mind: According to Toe, the mutation rate must be kept low because if mutation rates are too high, the organism would get too many changes too rapidly, and most of them would be negative, which would require rejection. This is why they REQUIRE gradualism. According to them, individual animals are not adaptive.
Ok…so let’s get to it. Let’s talk about fish.
It is widely accepted in the tropical fish arena that fish that are breed in captivity produce offspring that almost never reach full size. They almost never reach the same size as their parents because of the restricted tank size of home acquariums. Not only that, but these fish do not exhibit proper color, along with other physiological changes.
This is a direct result of the fish’s immediate environment. It’s a result of limited space with other fish, and it’s a result of stress-related factors inhibiting development (including water cleanliness, etc.) But the bottom line is fish can become stunted if not give the right environment to thrive. And the reason their growth is stunted is because there is an adaptive attempt by the internal wisdom of the genome to help it survive in its current surroundings.
But the thing is, the same is true of THEIR offspring. These inherited traits are obviously passed down to future generations. I’ve seen it for myself in my own tank after years of eyewitness. Common sense will tell you the same thing....that future offspring will not suddenly grow bigger. (look it up yourself if you don't believe me.)
So once again we have a disconnect. On the one hand evolutionists are telling us that individual animals cannot adapt…..and they’re also telling us that acquired traits cannot be passed down. But I have just shown you how both these statements are absolutely and totally FALSE!
I don’t know how it happens because I’m not a biologist or geneticist, but these fish have obviously had some sort of internal switch thrown that has allowed them to be adaptive to their immediate environment....and common sense says this switch will stay flipped until the environment changes again.
But the Killer for you guys is that it’s happened in ONE GENERATION. There is no waiting for a mutation to occur or for natural selection to kick in because individual animals have the necessary information within their genomes! These fish -- along with other animals -- have the ability to switch from one phenotype to another when cued by the environment. This is a mortal blow to neo-darwinism.
And by the way, I know neo-darwinism is officially dead because there are no such other experiments anywhere to be found on the web. And if they're out there, they certainly aren’t being promoted at neo-darwinists’ websites! The fact is, NEO-DARWINISTS ARE AFRAID OF REAL SCIENCE!!!!!!!!!!
Now Stridar, if you are going to continue debating on here with any intellectual honesty, you're going to have to answer my challenge. Anyone else is welcome to chime in as well. S
