I haven't heard of any other treatment. You didn't say how you know for sure that they are giving you health problems, but consider yourself lucky that you have a dentist that would tell you to have them removed. They are dead teeth without a blood supply to fight the bacteria with your natural immune system defenses. They are just a breeding ground for toxic poison to grow and seep into your system causing more problems.

Some of my older RC's had mercury fillings and one had a gold crown over that multiplying the problem of mercury toxicity and having two different metals which together with acidic foods equals a battery that can cause electrical interference with your brain electrical functions to other organs in your body.

RC's are bad news, and the older they get the worse they can be. Don't make the same mistake I did and put off having them removed just because they weren't painful and my wanting to save the teeth.

Your dentist seems to be on top of the situation, just make sure whoever removes them follows the proper protocol.

THere has to be some way to know for sure if the "bugs" in root canaled teeth are affecting the body.
No doctor has any test to help, and no dentist does either. Neither of them will addres it, saying it is the othjer's problem. "Thats not my area of expertise" said my last Doktor... as he prescribed my damn pills for the pains.
Startlingly enough, he didn't say a word after I had my upper teeth removed and the headaches went away. He didn't admit that he was treating me for a condition that nobody will say the real cause of was!!

That sounds almost stupid when I say it, and that is the situation today.
Now, my Bioilogical dentist refuses to remove a molar with huge root canals, decay, etc. Not painful, so he says it stays! -DUMB- That is irrresponsible at least, criminal perhaps. THat is the last root canaled tooth, and he does not want me to recover completely from my long term chronic illness.I have made such huge progress by getting the ones out that I did get out; this last one will be the final part of my recovery, and he refuses!! That tell me they are out to get me, yes , I am paranoid but RIGHT.
I will get it out somehow. I am sure it is causing me health problems.

The denturist know this situation is real - he see cases like mine come thru his office, with patients feeling so much better "Poisened your whole system" he says....

So, you are in good hands with your dentist. he is remarkable, he deserves a card of thanks. Get it out.

I read some books about root canals, like "The Roots of Disease" and "Uninformed Consent", and I think that extraction is the only solution for root canals.

root canals are ALLWAYS infected and there is no way to clean this infection, no matter what procedure you use.
This is a fact. You should inform and you realize that this is truth.

Some root canals are less toxics than others but ALL are BAD.
