Aarrrgghhh. Corn oil is a total washout because it's not that good for you even before it's cooked. Don't bother with it. We get way too much corn in our diet as there's tons of hidden corn syrup in all kinds of products, you'd be surprised. Avoid corn at all times. Save it for when you really enjoy it, like a fresh corn on the cob. :)
I tend to cook with olive oil and safflower. they're not perfect, but that's okay, they're better than most!
Sesame oil is a great oil for medicinal purposes, but it has such a strong flavor you may not want it to change the flavor of favorite recipes. Plus if you leave it out it gets rancid pretty fast.
Ghee is a nice oil for a lot of reasons, none of which are related to omega fatty acids. IT's mostly about flavor, lack of milk solids, can store for long periods of time without rancidity.
Coconut oil is great, you just have to be very sure to get the right kind - cold pressed, no
additives for flavor (many add butter flavoring).
For post-cooking or non-cooking oil, use a flax seed oil mix. No other better.
Hope that answers your question! :)
