I am using vitamin E to soften the scar tissue on a cut to my finger. It's working on the surface but there is internal scar tissue as well (limiting range of motion). Are there any suggestions as to the most effective method of application of vitamin E? Any suggestions as to other salves or supplements? Many Thanks!- Re: Internal scar tissue grzbear

MoreThis is a reply to # 362,738yes, its much more penetrating than vitamin e. many have said they have dissolved gall stones with castor oil packs. i have heard that adding some ginger to the castor oil increases its efficacy. Edgar Cayce was a big fan of castor oil packs. you can get any kind of castor oil pack info and supplies from any site that sells cayce materials. tho its very simple to make a pack, you don't need anything but castor oil, 100% cotton cloth, hot water pack, and someting to keep it in place. good luck.

This is a reply to # 362,740Thank you so much! Will definitely get some castor oil. It's funny that you mention Cayce as I am re-reading "Many Mansions" right now. I read it 30 yrs. ago and was surprised to see that it was still in print. It's interesting to revisit the formative influences of youth and see what withstands the test of time. I'm looking for a book on his health teachings. There are so many to choose from, any recommendations? Muchos Gracias! :)

(for external application: GMSO) [GMSO along with the vitamin E might do since GMSO (MSM) opens up the cell wall]
For some reason I think I also read about cayenne having the same effect. (makes sense since cayenne increases circulation)

This is a reply to # 362,739Thanks for the info. Am going to the health food store and will definitly get some GMSO. A humorous note on cayenne...Years ago, an old boyfriend read that cayenne sprinkled in socks would keep feet warm. He tried it,.. all day...nothing...nothing...until the end of the day when his feet started to sweat. His feet were BURNING! He was very emotional & expressive so he made quite a spectacle of himself...I will never forget that...Since I plan on sealing this bugger up I think I'll skip the cayenne! Thank you so much!

This is a reply to # 362,742Actually I understand that cayenne is key in healing cuts. It's particularly effective in stopping bleeding in a fresh cut, but also apparently it is key for healing with no scar. It might sting but I think it would be worth it...
Perhaps also fresh aloe vera, it is highly absorbed and has curative power. If you have some at home you could include that. Just a thought.- Re: might want to look into MSM ... wombat

DMSO opens the cell wall and the cayenne penetrates and causes great discomfort. Even burning.

I have a product called arthrosamine, contains glucosamine sulfate, MSM, Ascorbate & manganese chelate that I use occasionally for arthritic pain. Should I take that internally while using cayenne & castor internally? Thanks for the valuable info...

This is a reply to # 362,763I mixed cayenne & castor oil, soaked a piece of gauze in it & applied to scar. taped with cloth tape, put a glove finger over that and taped that up. I will take MSM internally. Sound allright, all? Will look into the willards, don't have any and it sounds very interesting... The scar tissue is really hard, especially where there were stitches...I work with my hands constantly so this is really important to me (my finger's getting...a little...warm...) Thanks to all who responded, you're a great bunch!
