Dear ashole,
any metal detox method will probably make you feel sick. I had 4 mercury fillings from 1983 to 2003. I changed them to white ones in 2002 and had those removed in 2003. It's now 2004 and I've passed 12 months with no fillings at all.
I did all kinds of things to help my body adjust to the changes and I'm very glad I went through with it. If I was you I'd use preparation and planning to my advantage: that's what I did. By having a plan, I was able to ignore my mental pain and confusion and just stick to the plan when things felt weird or awful.
I think you should identify where in your body you're likely to have metal accumulations and begin to treat those areas before you get the fillings out, then keep doing it afterwards too. The tooth to body chart at www.drwolfe.com can help you with that.
Then understand your constitution: skinny, medium, oily, or a combination, according to Ayurvedic science: that'll help you to know what methods will nourish and adjust your deep self, it's not the same for everyone.
A crystal method that I used is also very powerful: selenite at the brow chakra or crown chakra. Selenite is useful for removing metal from the bones. This treatment can take a while to manifest, as it operates at a deep level, yet it's very powerful. If you try it, be sure to use a grounding crystal as well to stay grounded.
Anyway, as I said, you can start getting the metal out of the body parts even before you change the fillings over:
Epsom Salt baths, massage, aromatherapeutic massage, etc. The organs of elimination will be challenged by this, yet cleansing the organs themselves is the greatest difficulty.
For the brain, use gingko tea, for the heart, use gentle prolonged exercise like long easy walks, and stay well away from animal foods for a long time. For the kidneys, do forward bends. For the whole body, use withania and ginger and other adaptogens.
All in all, be prepared and make subtle changes over a long period rather than big ones quickly. I think it's really worth it: every part of my life is totally different now and physically everything's easier than when I had fillings, especially keeping my body warm and understanding my emotions.
Kind wishes,
