Ok, I'm officially confused about whether to use black pepper or not. I've read here that it's a liver irritant and should be avoided. On the other hand, according to ayurvedic it's supposed to be good for you and helps digestion.
I really noticed it in my India Spice Yogi tea which I would LOVE the taste of except it has lots of black pepper in it which spoils the taste for me. It's also in their Cocoa Spice tea, same thing. Why take a perfectly good tasting food or tea and make it so hot it burns your tastebuds? I think I also read that it's not good for blood type A's.
What's the real deal with black pepper?
