Hi Katie,
Interesting to see this list. It's stuff that I have almost completely forsaken since embarking on my clear skin journey since January.
This is what I do: I eat that delicious kichadi that is so often mentioned on this forum. My favorite way is to ladle it over a cauliflower and top it off with chopped cilantro and a dash of yoghurt or kefir (now that it's become so easy to find).
When I went on holiday in May, I did, indeed, have coffee, cheese and wheat (as in cheese-on-toast); and ice cream. But this was only 1 out of 5 meals, say. And as soon as I came home it was a week of kichadi and ACV drink.
Maybe the "cleanest" thing on your list is wheat (as in toast? or pasta?). But, what if your husband is sensitive to it? You have to figure this out. Probably what should go at the bottom of your list is coffee and sugar, since both play such havoc with a person's chemistry. Cheese is just as suspect as wheat as a clogger and something to which people are sensitive. (Finally, Pizza and taco bell are just combinations of wheat and cheese for the most part, aren't they? and chocolate is
Sugar and caffeine, even though the actual chocolate part might be OK!)
What else is in your husband's diet? What if he emphasized the good stuff: steamed veggies, kachadi, fresh fish, protein shake (?)and had, say, pizza or Taco Bell on Friday night? Does he take enzymes with his meals at least?
Sorry to be a wet blanket. But wheat & cheese (pizza & cheese-on-toast) are my cheat foods or vacation foods. I've pretty much lost my intense chocolate craving with my cleansings. Also, when I cheat it's with the highest quality stuff! (fresh, organic, slow-food)
I hope your husband sees the light soon. It's great that one
Liver Flush had such a good effect on his rosacea.
Best,
Pinkcat
