Hi JV,
Presumably like most people various things help me though I don't always take the supplements due to lack of money and don't always avoid the foods I'm intolerant to! Anyway, avoiding certain foods like wheat, digestive enzymes, probiotics, taking E.F.A.'s, easily digestible protein eg fish, a more alkaline than acid diet, foods high in minerals, well cooked brown rice, linseed tea, aloe vera, spirulina, plenty of water, fibre and regular bowel movements! Basically all the things that are talked about here!
I suppose overall I would say at any meal don't eat more than you can handle as presumably even small amounts of difficult foods occasionally could probably be tolerated. Chew it well and drink enough water so the bowel stays well hydrated.
