MoreThis is a reply to # 317,471Just bought my first lot of vitamins from the US today. Thought I'd write a mini-FAQ.
What to buy? It makes sense to buy some of the more expensive supps from the US. e.g. I bought SAME And Co Q10, both very expensive in the UK.
The cheaper stuff is going to be similarly priced, so it makes sense to get from home.
Unfortunately Vitaminshoppe won't ship to the UK, but iherb do (link below). And the good news is they have a $20=£10 flat shipping fee to the UK.
To avoid tax you want your item to be £18 or less which is about $35. Though hopefully you shouldn't get charged for a few dollars more.
I bought:
1. 60 SAME 200mg caps at $30.
2. 100 150mg Q10 caps at $50
in two seperate orders (to avoid tax).
In total I paid £24 for the SAME and £34 for the Q10 including postage.
In the UK it would have cost around £60 for the SAME and about £150 for the Q10!!!
Thats a total saving of £210 - £58 = £152 or 72% off!!!
