You might try moisturing from within with essential fatty acids and other good-for-you oils (there's always a discussion of these going on on this forum. There might even be info in the FAQ).
Also, your skin may not really be dry, just holding on to dry cells. Try an aspirin mask:
Mash up 10 plain aspirin tablets in a tiny bit of water. Add a tiny bit of moisturizer (to hold it together, not necessary). Apply to your face. Lie down (to keep flakes from falling). After five minutes, get up and gently wash your face in cool water, gently using the aspirin grains as a scrub.
Ta-da!

I do this once a week or so. I alternate with a Death Valley
Bentonite mask (mix up the dry
Bentonite with a tiny bit of apple cider vinegar and apply, same as with aspirin, Experiment with how long you want to keep it on. Start with five minutes.)
