Hi,
There are good suppliers in the UK.....Nutrigold in Devon for one, their number is 01884 251777. They're an excellent company as they're very naturopathic in their approach and they also publish papers on nutrition, detoxification, bowel flora etc. They sell enema kits and castor oil packs. I normally order the oil and the packing fabric though I suppose you could use a clean tea towel if you want!
For castor oil packing, for the first time, drench the cloth with the oil then after you've used it let it cool and put in the fridge in the little plastic bag it comes in (you don't need to rinse it, though I think some people might wash it after several uses, though it will get very greasy!).
The next time you use it, you don't need to put any more oil on. You can re-use it eg 3 nights on, 4 nights off, or 5 nights on, 2 nights off (keep putting in the fridge after use) then get a new one after about a month. Castor oil is very stable so much less likely to get rancid after heating. For the heating, I just a hot water bottle, so after putting the cloth and oil on the area you want to treat, put a hot water bottle on top of that and then a plastic bag around, though I use a towel as I don't like using plastic!
You can also get mini water bottles which you can strap around you so you can get on with whatever you are doing without having to lie down whilst doing your castor packing! (I believe you can get the mini ones from Boots).
To rinse the oil off your body (if you want) you can use 1 teaspoon of bicarb of soda in a pint of warm water and a flannel.
Good luck!
Anne
