I'm new here and fascinated by all the information that I've read today. I'm in some serious need of some detoxification but I don't really know where to begin. . .
Me:
37, female, dosha type - Pitta (with high Kapha numbers, too), blood type O negative.
Mostly, I tend to eat pretty healthy food - lots of raw veggies and fruit, fresh juice, etc. , but have lapses with the sugary stuff.
The stuff that is going on with me:
Overweight- 200 lb 5'8" (gain really easily, crave sugar). I lost 130 lbs 5 years ago on a food plan that was primarily veggies, fruit and a little protein, but gained back about half. I know that refined carbs don't work for my body but I crave them like crazy.
Chronic constipation (tried many of the suggestions on this board already to no avail, slow digestion, very hard stool, usually 1 BM every other day if I'm lucky. I've tried p&b shakes with tons of water, which helped for about 2 weeks then back to the old pattern of every other day. I drink about 100
oz of water per day.
Some digestive pain - lower right side. Wonder if maybe I have gall stones.
Some mental fogginess, bad pms (anxiety, really grumpy, tenderness)
Shoulder, neck and back pain
Acne on face and back
Allergies: corn, wheat, peanuts, dairy
I've tried a really heavy duty supplement regime for about 3 months, which helped initially, but then seemed to stop. This included a protocol for
parasites and yeast. I was able to control the refined food intake for a while, but PMS really seems to push me over the edge with sugar.
I've been doing more fresh juice, raw food, less meat (hoping to eventually give it up completely).
I'm really wanting to do some sort of cleanse. Considered master cleanse, but not sure if that's good with Candida type symptoms. Now that I have a juicer, would like to try juice cleanse.
Anyway, I'm pretty much a mess. I'd like to feel better, loose weight and find a plan for eating that really works for my body.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
