I will be going over the lab results from intensive research testing which yeilded nothing. This should be good. I will have to bite my tongue, because these 'lab rats' did go through a lot of trouble to run the tests.
Unfortunately, they did not focus their attention on the visual inspection of the specemin, which I thought was the main idea. I am still convinced the yeast is a decendant of cryptococcus neoformans. This is based on morphology and symptoms.
The only thing which bothers me is, the "germ tubes" in my eyes. They are not typical of candida albicans, but c. neoformans is not known to produce them. Also, the oral patterns [geographic tongue] is usually candida. But, both are yeast, and that means they can develope into all sorts of forms.
I really must study pleomorphism, to better understand this behavior. Right now, I need to study genetics 101.
One thing I will say for sure, we are dealling with a new type of parasitic yeast!
