I have been researching parasites, because this is the best way to understand candida. I have come across some very interesting stuff. Did you know that 50% of the world population, esp. Europe has a
parasite called toxic-something. It affects cats. Apparently, if a rat gets infected from, say, cat feces, it will become fearless of cats. This is because the
parasite can directly affect behaviour. So, the rat gets eaten by cat, and the
parasite concludes it's cycle. These things are indestructible--but new research has found a way to get at their molecular motors which could render them defenceless.
Anther story is of a guy who purposely infected himself with "hookworm" because it releives his allergies completely. His theory is we have always had
parasites before our "sanitized society" and that we developed a symbiotic relationship with these worms, and our immune-system learned to be freindy with them. He suggests some auto-immune diseases can be cured using parasites.
I dunno... but one thing is for sure; the
parasites have a way of controlling many aspects of our phyisiology AND psychology.
I have discovered a parasite in my stool. It is protozoan, but I can't identify it yet. And I don't know if it is harmful or not. I think most of us probably have these types of organisms. Anyhow, it is important for all of us to study parasites.
