I'm not all raw (yet), but trying. I live in a climate that is cold in Fall, Winter and early Spring, and I find I feel very cold and depleted when I don't eat some cooked food during those times.
In any case, year round, I would love to be able to make a reasonably palatable, easily digestable, sort of nutrient-dense "power shake" and could use some suggestions. I'm not necessarily looking for a product out of a jar, though not opposed to adding some kind of green powders, spirulina, chlorella, etc. Basically looking for a meal replacement or breakfast drink that's super healthy. I do have an ongoing problem with candida, so I have to keep it low carb. I go back and forth on whether I'm OK with fruits other than green apples, but dates and dried fruits are pretty much out.
I bumped into something on the net about cleansing on a raw diet, and that cleansing "shake" involved celery, cucumber, green apple, spinach, avocado, garlic, ginger,
Sea Salt & seaweed (though not sure what kind of seaweed). I don't know if that exact combination is appropriate to take daily, but sounds pretty healthy.
Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations? I'm into the naturally fermented foods, as well, and make my own cultured veggies. I'm also going to try raw cultured cabbage juice in the near future, as well, so that's a possible addition.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
