Counting Rules:
1. # essential elements > average is 3, which is less than 5, so rule 1 is met
3. # essential elements in red zone is bigger than 4, so rule 3 is met
Looking at the very low level of mercury=0.03 we have a classic deranged mineral profile here, where mercury is not only inhibiting the transport of essential minerals, but also its own transport.
Calcium & Magnesium are far away from Sodium & Potassium, so subject has adrenal problems (& possibly thyroid issues). Adrenal support may be advisable.
Hair calcium is elevated, which means that body calcium is depleted. This subject is unable to utilize calcium properly. In such a situation excessive calcium (in either food or supplements) can cause muscle cramps and/or depression.
Despite appearances Zinc is almost certainly low (since minerals are deranged).
Manganese is very low.
Chromium is low so subject may have blood
Sugar issues.
Selenium although not low could be higher.
Molybdenum is very low. Possibility of candida?
Advice: Continue with chelation. In the mean time for nutritional support consider:
1. Adrenal support
*2. Magnesium (Citrate 400mg) (to help balance out and utilize calcium, calming)
*3. Zinc (Citrate 30-100mg) (for immune/thyroid support)
*4. Manganese (5-10mg) (thyroid, Urea cycle, saliva)
5. Selenium (food based, 200-800mcg)(thyroid, immune system, mercury)
6. Chromium (Picolinate 200mcg)(blood sugar, mood)
7. Molybdenum (alcohol metabolism)
First choice supplements are starred. It is my opinion that the subject would benefit from these right away.
