Well I've tried pretty much everything, and after a year of this hell I've finally come to understand what works for me. I'll explain what I've tried and how much good it did me ranking from most useless to most helpful:
1. Trust the docters and follow their advice. Doing this will leave you dead rather quickly.
2. Anti-fungals never did a whole lot that I've noticed, I've tried them all. Garlic seems to work a bit, maybe pau darco, but even these, at their best, don't do as much good as the next things.
3. Cleansing is helpful, flushing my bowels out and fasting for a few days helped turn around a few really bad spells. I think
Liver Flushing sucks and I won't do that again.
4. Probiotics are needed, do anything you want but nature abhors a vacuum and if you're not colonized with good stuff then you're colonized with bad stuff.
5. EXCERCISE. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING is as effective as this. It's only been recently that I've noticed... when I work out a lot in a day I don't have nearly as much pain. When I sit around and "rest" I get worse. Doing ab excercises is great for keeping the bowels moving, which is very important. My main goal now is transforming my body, gaining muscle, gaining strength. I think the key is a short cleansing cycle followed by a longer building cycle that includes a ton of excercise. Combine this with eating healthy food and lots of probiotics and I think it equals a cure. I'll know for sure in 6 months and I'll be sure to post back here if I'm right. It's really hard because I'm so tired and drained all the time, but I feel much better after forcing myself to workout. I have a weight set in my home so I usually do a few sets to get the blood pumping and then stop, and just workout constantly all day every day in short bursts. I do not feel pain during and after excercise, ever. I only feel bad when I sit still.
