I've been raw since last summer. I did a 15 master cleanse to rid myself of cooked food cravings and transition to raw, and it worked really well. I started in on 100% raw right away. I feel great. I've lost 65 lbs since August, almost effortlessly - it's pretty cool to be eating three meals a day and still have weight loss.
The thing I like most about raw food is never feeling like you just have to keep eating, the way you do when you eat pasta or cheeseburgers or sandwiches - that uncontrollable binging that happens sometimes when you eat flour and starch. I mean, who ever heard of someone binging on carrot sticks or kale salad?? You just don't have those kinds of urges, ever. I love it! I'm never hungry while raw, but never really full either, which means never lethargic or sleepy from eating. I love it. I also never have any earwax or mucous anymore...weird, isn't it? I've gone from sleeping about 10 hours a night to sleeping 5 or 6, too.
I have smoothies for breakfast every morning - a banana and some other fruit, usually, or I don't eat anything. For lunch I have kale salad, raw soup, some fake meatloaf, fruit, or maybe zucchini hummus. There's a health food store near me that sells raw take-out (yay!) and two raw restaurants within half an hour of me. I also like to make raw pizzas for dinner, or make guacamoles and salsas and eat them on romaine like a burrito, or maybe just have a salad.
Once in a while (twice, I think) I've eaten a plain, unadorned baked potato when I've gone out; restaurant salads are usually disgusting unless you're in a vegan or organic restaurant. A few times this winter I've also had cooked, very plain vegetable soup - sometimes I'm really chilled through and through and nothing cold or room temperature appeals to me - I make soup with plain water, tomatoes, sliced zucchini, and carrots and salt - it's great when you're cold. Besides those rare forays into the cooked food world, I've been totally raw since last summer. How about you?
