I know exactly what you mean about the "office food"--someone is always bringing in something, almost every day there's something back there and it's never healthy.
What worked for me is pretty harsh--I do not eat at work. Rather than play games with myself about having just one bagel one day but no pie the next or a donut when someone brings them in about once or twice a week, I just take it for granted that I never will eat ANY of it. Except at Christmas, then, you would be crazy not to have a little of the more exquisite homemade pastry, etc., but not the bag of just whatever someone leaves in the lunchroom. My intent this year, however is to go to all raw food and so I'll be making raw cookies to take with me, raw fudge, etc. Also, no one expects me to eat it anymore and they hardly notice that I don't.
Of course, there are overweight people at the office and I don't know what they say behind my back, I suspect it isn't all that nice. I suspect they all think I'm compulsive and one woman went so far as to say I was Obsessive Compulsive--to my face! Everyone describes me as being "driven" at one time or another. But this is your health and longevity we're talking here and when it comes to my choices in light of those values, well, I don't care what they say one way or the other. I take care not to preach my lifestyle to them, however, fair is only fair.
You could try bringing your own Celery
sticks, etc. but that never worked for me because if I eat at all, I'm in danger of moving on to better things and if they are laying around I'll eat them. So no, no eating at the office and if you go to lunch, leave the office to eat. That is all that worked for me in our junk-food environment.
