From what I gather about the Master Cleanse is that it helps you clean out your bowels and toxins from your cells.
And it allows your body to self heal itself in certain areas.
The liver is a organ that has great regenerative abilities, but if it has been overworked (which is the case for most of us, even children can have an overworked liver!) and it might not be able to fully regenerate if it is clogged up with
Gallstones that are travelling through the liver.
I am choosing to do a
Liver Flush after my MC, because I suffer from
Acne and a distended abdomen. I work out and do an insane amount of Ab work ... no change...
So, after reading and discovering that a distented belly could be from an impacted intestinal tract, and/or a swollen liver...
And, since I have just droped 30
pounds from doing a 40 day MC, and I know that I emptied out my digestive system...
The next thing to look at is possible swelling of the Liver.
I have also read that a liver that is swollen can contribute to an inappropate amount of weight gain, based on the actual calories that you consume and the activity level that you have.
Which, I ascertian is the reason why you can see people who eat right, and exercise and never seem to loose weight, and sometimes gain more.
I have done the
Master-Cleanse since 1998 without doing a
Liver Flush afterwards, and not suffered any adverse results...
But, I want to reach to higher levels of health, since I have hit the big 4-0, and my husband I am going to try for our first child this year (my first, his third).
I want to be as healthly as I can, before we get pregnant.
I think this is a personal choice that can make based on the data that you read bout the
Liver Flushes ... but I would not stress overit.
