Hello Folks, I've been checking in and reading the posts on this board during my cleanse but haven't joined the fray of discussion yet.
The fast has been a real trip for me. I've been feeling GREAT, except for some irritability and self-doubt cropping up on days 3 and 5. I'm proud of myself and also am feeling a bit nervous about coming off the fast, which I plan to do after day 10. So, to assuage my nerves, I've decided to ask a couple of questions... Firstly there seems to be conflicting information about whether or not to do the
SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) on the morning of day 11. Secondly, what should I expect in terms of bowel movements once I start on the oj? (I am hoping to avoid explosive diarrhea, haha)
Also I would like to say that no matter how much reading I did about the
Master-Cleanse beforehand, the experience of learning it in my own body is the only way I ever would "get it." I thought I already had a very high body consciousness, but this has changed something and I am really learning a lot! So take my coupla tips as food for thought only, since i'm new to this, and find what works for you.
The first day on the
SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) I was really retching. On subsequent days I did a little trick: While breathing deeply through my nose, I gulped down one gulp with each inhalation and one with each exhalation. I stared straight ahead while doing this and tried to relax my body. It really really helps and is not so bad now.
Also, I have been struggling with being cold. Yesterday I went to the health food store and bought a detox bath to soak in that really warmed me right up! It is called Dr. Singha's Mustard Bath and comes in a little shiny purple envelope. It is pretty intense, and if you run hot you probably would NOT want to take this bath, but I loved it and am still warm this morning. I didn't even have cold feet in bed last night!
Oh, one more question...
I've been using room-temperature water in the
SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) and it seems to be working just fine. But lately have been noticing that it is supposed to be prepared hot? I'm a space cadet, but what is the correct answer, and why does it matter that it is warm-- so it doesn't shock your body as it moves through?
Thanks, all! I have really benefitted from your posts.
