I've been passing these things for several years off and on, especially whenever I do a parasite
cleanse or aggressive colon cleanse. I'm trying to determine if this is a tape of some type or a fluke. It is flat (although in this picture, about halfway down, it starts curling around itself, they don't usually curl around like that). It's about 3-4" long and about 1/2" wide.
This is the 1st time I've fished one out and it looks like there may be suc***s of some type at the top (left side of pic), but I'm not sure. There are veins along each side (they always have veins).
I usually feel better after passing these (digestion works better) but I would like to determine what they are so I can finally wipe them out once and for all and it would help if I knew what they were. It seems like they could be flukes but they don't look like any of the fluke pics I've seen (or any of the Tapeworm
pics I've seen either, for that matter) but since they're flat, they must be one or the other, right? They're always symmetrical and though you can't tell it in the pic, their edges are smooth (I'm pointing this out because when I took one to my colon hydrotherapist, she said she just thought it might be fecal matter...fecal matter isn't always symmetrical and smooth on each side and always have veins).
