I made a whole root ginseng tincture 4 years ago.

IDEALLY YOU WENT TO THE WOODS AND COLLECTED IT YOURSELF….
When the menstrum is gone, can I tincture the root again?
SO I AM CONFUSED HOW YOU MADE THE TINCTURE? DID YOU PLACE WHOLE ROOTS IN ALCOHOL AND NOT GRIND THEM UP?
or can I add more menstrum to the existing tincture? Or do I just start with fresh root?

SINCE I HAVE NO MARKET FOR GINSENG, IT COLLECTS OVER THE YEARS AND ACTUALLY NOW IS THE TIME TO COLLECT IT. NORMALLY I JUST CUT OFF THE TOPS SO TRESPASSERS WALKING BY DON'T FIND IT.
PEOPLE WALK CROSS COUNTRY STEALING GINSENG, THEY HAVE CARS PICK THEM UP ON ROADS AS THEY TRAVEL THROUGH…HARD WAY TO MAKE A LIVING AND AGAINST THE LAW IN EVERY STATE.
IN KENTUCKY LOCALS SELL A POUND FOR $300 TO OTHER LOCALS WITH ASIAN CONNECTIONS WHO SELL FOR UP TO $900 PER POUND DRY ROOTS. TO FIND 1 POUND TOTAL DRY TAKES A VERY LONG TIME FOR WILD PLANTS. BY 1920'S PEOPLE HAD REMOVED 99% OF ALL THE GINSENG FROM GEORGIA TO OHIO.
TODAY 99% IS ALL FARM RAISED.
