This cool mild summer has been great for herbs and all the farmer's crops. Should be a record crop of corn and soybeans for 2014. Makes you wonder how on earth man can process and use millions of acres of corn and beans.

If humans spent the same efforts on sweet tree fruits, this planet would have more food than anyone could ever consume. This world has no food shortage, if anything there has been way too much food for a very long time…the big problem has been the de-population that has been going on since 1900 and as they keep killing millions upon millions of people every year, they have way too much food to sale, so they educate people to eat 3x daily and snack all day long.

Herbs in general are huge this year, more flowers than ever, lots of seeds, nuts, etc…..will be interesting to see how large the ginseng plants are. Many of the great herbs such as goldenseal, ginseng, etc. are easy to find in August.

I believe herbal use is on a decline as people become more poor each coming year and more dependent on government hand outs such as free housing, free food and free medicine. VIA free $$$$, less taxation, etc. those that make the $$$/laws can change the people to do anything they want them to and for 100 years they have not liked people becoming their own physicians or free of sickness and disease. "IF" you don't die of cancer/heart disease you might even be considered a "freak" in today's standards.

Herbs acre truly 1 of God's Greatest gifts to mankind and like everything Godly, man ignores it. I don't think price really has that much to do with it and if anything, those who do have the $$$ to buy such things as herbs; they buy the most expensive they can find because they got their $$$ in the first place by believing the best should cost more.

I would estimate herbal use is dropping as much as 20% every year. Even Walmart is changing tactics and concentrating more on just food/drugs. As people have less $$$ to spend, the store does not need to stock as much. Like it or not, we live in a 1 store world….your stores may go by a variety of names, but in reality if it is a commercial store, it is owned by the un (walmart) or controlled by wally world. Soon everyone who has a job will be working for wally. This is what they were calling the 1 world order for the past 50 years, we today are seeing it become reality. The same people who own wally world are the same people building hundreds of new schools….and promise to build new factories….so socialism is here. Humans will be treated more like herded animals.
