It's unlikely that probiotics alone can kill off fungal candida. Almost all strains exhibit antifungal activity, but are unable to eliminate a widespread infection. Bacillus species tend to exhibit antibacterial and antifungal effects in the body, with the antibacterial effects being stronger.
Oregano oil can help to inhibit fungal candida, as well as bacteria. Oils from plants tend to inhibit and not eliminate fungal candida in the body, although they can be very effective at high enough doses in a petri dish. The risk is always whether or not the antibacterial effect will be stronger than the antifungal effect.
I like the use of the undecenoic acid in Candida Force (
http://www.candidaplan.com/store/Candida-Force.html) as it helps to correct the fungal form back to the normal yeast form and doesn't affect the bacteria. Along with that, you boost the correct immune response with Detox Essentials, and wait to take probiotics until Week 7 of the Plan.
