Unfortunately it seems posts are being removed by regular and long term users of the AF forum by moderators. Two posts recently, with great information about Adrenal Fatigue and GAS - General Adaption Syndrome and the link between the two, with excellent synopsis's of the condition and various treatment plans have been removed.
Unfortunately, we have seen this forum plagued by trolls over the past year, especially from the 'AF dosen't exist' playground, and I feel it is unfair to have posts defending and explaining the terrible condition of GAS/AF removed, when in fact those attempting to claim that the condition does not exist, therefore disrespecting all the many sufferers, and also claiming that those recovered from the condition are frauds, should be removed.
I feel it is unfair to have educational posts removed, especially the two recently by Feo and myself in informative retaliation to a figure that has invaded the forum, both posts where incredibly factual, with links to medical research and further reading pages, neither of which had any direct personal attacks (yet the original OP post did)
If this is the case, a free for all forum where as people can disrespect the condition and sufferers, then when members actually take the time to explain the condition as to help new posters reading the information dont get swayed away from finding a reason and cure for their condition then the AF forum may as well not exist. There is an AF debate forum, set up to give the trolls a voice in the name of democracy, which the offending posts can be moved to of the OP (not the education ones about AF/GAS), and all those claiming the condition does not exist should be moved there, and those with facts, and knowledge about the condition should remain on here. I thought that was the difference between the two?
I am happy to admit I have questioned some methods AF'ers use to heal in the past, which I am not proud of, therefore I understand where a lot of frustration comes from especially when incredibly sick. I am sure the genuine users with questions are in the same boat, however the non-believer should not be here, it is not fair to the real AF'ers. I do believe we are regarding as having 'malaria' by one of these people. Its similar to suggesting cancer dosent exist, because the person does not suffer from the condition.
We have already lost long term members, and risk further isolating new ones due to these keyboard warriors. I feel moderation, prefably by someone who has AF, would be a better suit to this forum, as us sufferers, already disrespected by the medical profession, have a better idea on how to moderate a forum on our condition. I am sure there are many users that would be up for that.
Just a thought. It seems a shame for the demise of a forum such as this, as a lot of people have found help from it on their journey from GAS/AF back to real life.
Could the posts removed at least be put back, as they provide excellent information.
